The lawn is starting to come in and looks pretty good. Still

a few places need work.

The garage has been started

Here are some pictures of the walk we went on down to Cutler Me. We went on a bird watch and saw two eagles and their little one. They were quite aways from us so couldn't get picture of the baby. It was awesome and we saw lots of other birds & ducks. The pictures of the gardens & lawn were taken today in the rain. The ones posted yesterday were actually taken a couple of weeks ago.

Home in Maine

Martha & I have been busy with building the deck and getting our yard fixed up, we have put in raised beds for veges and flowers. We also have a large flower bed at the end of the lawn. I had to put a drain in from the drive way to the woods across the lawn before I could put the lawn in. But it's all finished and the grass is coming in now. We had rain that washed some of the seed away so I may need to replant in some places but I can do that anytime. I have had to mow it once .I cut it long the first time.
We also have the slab done and the garage should be started in a couple of weeks. We have a contractor to do it he told me that he can finish it in about 7 days so it will be good to get it done.

Clayt and I have tapped some maple trees and have been boiling down the sap. Its a lot of fun but its also a lot of work. I have about 1 1/2qts so far and its good. This morning we had some on toast what a treat.

I started with about 9 Gallons of sap. This takes a long time to boil it down this way. I ended up with about 3 cups of syrup.

Hello again,

We have been out and about taken pictures in between the rain storms. Our snow is going we can see a lot of bare ground now. It has been in the mid 30' for the last week but we have had snow fluries or rain almost every day.

Well here it is almost the end of February.

I haven't put anything on this for a long time .I'll have to do a better job at it.

We have had a good winter so far. It started out with a lot of snow and cold weather but it leveled of by the end of January . We haven't had any snow to speak of for about 3 weeks all rain.

Last night we had a lot of rain and lots of wind 25 to 30 mph and gust up to 50 mph.

Martha & I are doing great with this new chapter of life. We went to Florida for a couple weeks the end of January some days were cold and windy but it did warm up and we had a good time.

The last few days we have had 6 turkeys in the back yard at the bird feeder

New Home

We are getting settled in our new home in East Machias after about 2 months we have been busy building the door steps and unpacking. We are about finished. Photo's
